Fair Cost of Care
One chance to influence future strategy. Let's make the most of it.
Have you submitted your data yet?
Fair Cost of Care is a national exercise led by DHSC.
As part of the market review DHSC has asked Local Authorities to undertake a local ‘fair cost of care’ exercise and report the results so these can be reviewed centrally. In a guidance document for Local Authorities entitled “Market sustainability and fair cost of care fund 2022 to 2023: guidance”, published 24 March 2022 the DHSC outlined its expectations of Local Authorities. This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity for care providers to provide evidence to Government about the gap between current funding levels and the cost of delivering care.
MKB Care is strongly supportive of this exercise and we will do as much as possible to enable you to engage and submit data.
Only care homes (residential and nursing for older people) and home care for people aged 18+ are eligible for this FCOC exercise.
There are separate routes for you to engage depending on your service.
