SECAS
The South East Care Advice Service (SECAS)
MKB Care strongly advise all care providers to contact and work with SECAS, who can help you if you are an adult social care service provider and you employ fewer than 250 staff.

SECAS is the Skills for Care brokerage service, funded by the Learning and Skills Council. The service is being delivered locally through MKB Care Association to provide you with advice and support on:
· Workforce development issues such as skills
profiling for your staff
· Accessing the right training
· Workforce planning
SECAS also offers you one to one support through an adviser to:
· Provide individual development plans and a workforce development plan
· Identify learning and training needs within your organisation and help you
access the most appropriate
training provision, and access public funds where available
· Check that the training met your needs and work with you to identify any other
requirements
· Source support for you - on matters relating to supervision practice, leadership
and management development, business improvement, inspection compliance,
recruitment and retention issues, and HR practices.
How does SECAS support you with NMDS-SC and Inspection?
Your adviser will help you to complete National Minimum Data Set- Social Care (NMDS-SC) requirements. This will ensure you are eligible for certain sources of training funding and allow you to complete parts of your Annual Quality Assurance Assessment (AQAA) more easily. In addition, your adviser will also help you to evidence competency assessment and staff development to support inspection requirements, and give you the information and the tools to take forward your workforce planning.
