The role of Skills for Care in MKOB
MKB Care Association works closely with the Skills for Care sub regional group for Milton Keynes, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire (MKOB), to aid communication and bring you information on the training courses available.
Skills for Care aims to modernise adult social care in the MKOB region by working in consultation with carers, employers and service users and ensuring qualifications and standards continually adapt to meet the changing needs of people using care services.
This is achieved by collecting skills data through SECAS and researching issues affecting carers and people who use care services and creating a regional workforce development strategy for all care providers. In addition Skills for Care strengthen employer-led regional support networks, such as MKB Care, to liaise with health, local government and education at local and regional levels.
